Youth Documentation

Youth Documentation

This year (2005) the Kingdom of Atenveldt will again be using the simplified A&S categories for Youth. There are four categories:

  • What you eat.
  • What you wear.
  • What you learn.
  • What you use.

For documentation, the Youth entrant needs to answer three questions:

  • What is it?
  • What is it used for?
  • How did you make it?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I don't know how to type. Is it okay for my mom to type the documentation for me?
A: Absolutely! Your parent or any other willing adult is more than welcome to help you. The adult may ask the questions above and write (or type) the youth's responses.

Q: Can I include pictures?
A: Yes. Pictures are highly encouraged. You may want to ask an adult to help you select pictures that the judges will find useful.

Q: Is a bibiliography required?
A: No, but it is helpful for the judges to know what book or website you looked at while preparing the entry.

Q: Do I have to include documentation? Can't I just explain to the judges what I did?
A: You must have documentation. That is how you explain what you did and why. The documentation is your voice!
